I want to get used to playing a build that's made for Co-Op and make sure that its good enough for others who are more experienced than I am. Only fought Crawmerax once. And by fought I mean died constantly while it gave enough distraction for a 69 Hunter to take him down.

Here's my Roland build. Run a Heavy Gunner class mod - this is key - NOT a support gunner class mod. Supply Drop is an insane skill that is overlooked by even some of the best Borderlands players. Alright, well I adjusted my build for Lilith then. I'll be playing co-op with a group of 4. When I played Borderlands back on the day, I only did one playthrough with Mordecai. Skills I'd take for a combat rifle build: Impact, Metal Storm, Assault, Defense, Quick Charge, Deploy, Supply Drop (1 or 2 points), Overload, Stat. The rest depends on how much ammo and health regen you want. The main thing to keep in mind with Roland is that the turret's damage will eventually suck because it doesn't scale well enough.

Personally I think you don't need any shotgun, if you get really good Anarchy SMG something like "HX 530 Steel Anarchy" or HX 150 or HX 550 by Torgue (accessories matter). Heavy Gunner COM is probably best choice for damage. Riffleman gives you ammo regen. Get both and swap when you need ammo.

The turrent cooldown skill can be maxed out to 5 seconds per hit, with the two second proc. Your turrent will be deployable every 29 seconds, with a 20 second turrent life you only have 9 seconds between turrents. Every 7 seconds of cooldown gets reduced to 2seconds. 2/7 = 29/100.
